Julie

With 17 years of performance experience, Julie Hoeltzel is a classically trained singer with experience in various musical genres. For the past 11 years, she has joined both worship teams and traditional services across the Houston area, serving in roles ranging from soprano soloist to modern worship leader.

She currently serves as an elementary music teacher in Pasadena ISD, as a Lead Teaching Artist for the Houston Grand Opera, and has been a devoted member of the Houston Grand Opera Chorus for over 11 years. She also works as a princess and character for Dreamland Entertainment. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two chihuahua mixes, Pinky and Sweet Pea, and her cat, Bubbles.

Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in Music from Pepperdine University and a master’s in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Houston. Through her dedication to music and ministry, Julie is committed to leading worshippers in authentic and uplifting experiences of praise. Julie is so excited to be joining the team at FUMCMC, and is looking forward to guiding the congregation at First United Methodist Missouri City in heartfelt worship and spiritual growth!
