Music and Arts

Chancel Choir

Over 35 mixed voices fill the choir loft every Sunday to help lead worship at the 11:05am traditional service, singing hymns, liturgical music, and choral anthems by composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Dan Forrest, Craig Courtney, John Leavitt, John Rutter, and many more. In addition to concerts, retreats, and other special events, the Chancel Choir rehearses every Wednesday at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Childcare is available, and regardless of musical background or experience level, all are encouraged to join and sing!

Chancel Bells

This adult bell choir offers music during worship services on a regular basis. Playing five octaves of bells, the choir rehearses in the bell rehearsal room in the music suite under the direction of David Doerr. The group is open to those able to read music, or those that are willing to learn!

Modern Worship

Offering hymns, praise songs, and the latest Christian music, the worship team leads worship at 9:00 AM for our contemporary service, a creative worship experience in the Fellowship Hall. Musicians of all ages volunteer to sing and play on a rotation basis and provide up-front leadership in worship each week. Contact Julie Hoeltzel, Director of Modern Worship, with any questions.

Small Groups and Ensembles

Whether playing an instrument, singing a solo, participating in a small ensemble, creating a dance, or preparing art in worship, all persons are encouraged to offer their talents to God in worship. If you play an instrument, dance, sign, act or sing, please contact Director of Worship, Melissa Burnham to find your place in the church’s music and arts ministry.

The Art Gallery

Displaying the talents of our congregation and beyond, the church art gallery offers churchgoers the opportunity to see God in the visual arts. The Art Gallery is led and directed by church members and rotated on a seasonal basis.

Digital Arts

Careful thought is given to the audio and visual needs for every worship service. Two of our worship spaces have screens and sound systems that are used to supplement and enhance the worship experience. In addition, we provide audio visual support for all church programs beyond worship. If you have any interest or experience in film, operating a camera, computer graphics or other IT needs, creating videos or other content for worship, stream live worship, or lighting, the Digital Ministry Team would love for you to join us. Please contact John Hogue, Audio Visual Coordinator.

If you answered yes to either question, join us for the FUMCMC Ukulele Ensemble.Rehearsals include fellowship, playing our ukuleles, and working on ukulele techniques.
