Monday Musical Moment: MMM: More Ukes!

Some of you may remember that back in early August, I shared some of my thoughts on “talent” and ukuleles. In just four short weeks of 30-minute rehearsals, we were able to put together a ukulele ensemble to lead worship, and in Hawaiian shirts no less! In my column, I talked about how anyone can learn an instrument if they are patient and keep working at it. We had many participants in the ukulele ensemble that had never picked one up before, and some who didn’t know how to read music, but everyone learned and grew together, and most importantly, we had SO much fun.

I’m once again excited to offer this opportunity once again, to any and every person who would like to join us and learn to play Christmas tunes on the ukulele! No matter if you already know how to play ukulele, have played some, or have never played one in your entire life. Beginning this Sunday November 6, we will meet weekly after church in the sanctuary for about 30 minutes learning music to lead and enhance the traditional worship service on Sunday December 18.

The group is open to any and all who would like to participate, no matter the age or experience level! If you already have a ukulele, you can register HERE, or just show up on Sunday. If you would like to join but do not have an instrument, you can purchase one through the registration link, but if you bring your own, there is no cost!
